See what your security coverage could look like with a consistent, professionally managed team behind it.

If you're tired of call outs, coverage gaps, and training a new officer every few weeks, take two minutes to see how USENTRA generally approaches the issues that many facilities tell us prompted them to start looking for a new provider.

Sound Familiar?

Many of the facility and operations managers we speak with across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut aren't shopping for security for the first time. They already have a provider, and they're frustrated by the same handful of issues that seem to repeat no matter how many times they raise them.
  • Officers who call out with little notice, leaving a post uncovered

  • A different face at the post every few weeks, and your team stuck training each one

  • Calls and emails to your provider that go unanswered for days

  • Little visibility into what actually happens on your property overnight

  • A feeling that your current approach is more reactive than proactive

If any of these describe your current situation, the rest of this page outlines how we generally approach them.

What typically happens when one of our officers calls out

Coverage gaps are a common concern for facilities considering a new provider, so our process is designed to help reduce the burden that call outs place on your team. Here is how it generally works.

01

Call outs are reported to our team. Officers are expected to report absences directly to our scheduling team rather than to your staff, and management support is available around the clock.

02

Our scheduling team begins arranging coverage. With approximately 300 employees in Rhode Island, we generally have a pool of trained reserve officers and area floaters to draw from, although availability can vary.

03

We look to send someone familiar with your site. Each site has written post orders, and where possible we familiarize reserve officers with your location ahead of time so a fill in has a starting point.

04

Field managers can provide support. Roving field managers generally work after hours, on weekends, and on holidays and can respond to the site when appropriate.

05

Communication is a priority. Your account manager serves as your point of contact, and depending on your service plan, our reporting tools are designed to give you more visibility into activity on your property.

This describes our general approach and is not a guarantee of coverage or response time. Specific procedures vary by site and are defined in each client's written service agreement.

What switching to USENTRA could look like

Changing providers can feel like more disruption than it's worth, which is why we follow a structured transition plan intended to help minimize disruption to your day to day operations while we get established.

Listen and assess.

We meet with your team, walk the property, review your current staffing and post orders, and identify what is and isn't working.

Plan and prepare.

We develop site specific post orders, establish selection criteria for your officers, confirm licensing and training requirements, and prepare uniforms and equipment.

Train and launch.

Assigned officers go through orientation and on the job training for your site, and our transition team remains involved during the early weeks of service.

Ongoing partnership.

our account manager checks in with you periodically, field managers visit the site, and we continue reviewing what is working and what can be improved.

Transition timelines vary depending on the size and needs of each facility.

A local  security partner you can actually reach

USENTRA has been providing security services since 1946 and is headquartered in Warwick, Rhode Island, serving facilities throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Because we are a regional company rather than a national one, our clients generally work directly with an assigned account manager.

  • Selective hiring. Candidates go through multiple interviews, and our process generally includes background checks, employment verification, reference checks, and drug screening, as permitted by applicable law.

  • Training for confidence. Officers receive basic training covering topics such as report writing, patrolling, de-escalation, and emergency response, followed by site specific on the job training.

  • People who want to stay. We offer benefits, paid training, and recognition programs designed to support retention, because consistent officers tend to make for a more consistent program.

  • Visibility into your property. Depending on your service plan, tools such as daily and incident reporting and smartphone based patrol verification may be available.

How are call outs covered? Call outs are handled by our scheduling team, which typically draws from a bench of trained reserve officers and area floaters. Specific procedures are outlined in each client's agreement.

Is there a cost for the walkthrough? No, there is no cost. The walkthrough is an informal visit and conversation rather than a formal security audit or risk assessment, and there is no obligation to move forward.
